Almost famous...

After four years out of Utah, I had the opportunity to return for a writer's workshop at BYU. We didn't talk about Stephenie Meyer much...not more than ten times a day, anyway. The bag of apples they gave us were bruised, but they made a great photo op.

Memorize these faces. This is the future of young adult chic lit.

Each morning we had a workshop with author, Janette Rallison. Okay, so I look terrible, but isn't Janette cute?

Here is where Seth and I met so long ago.

I love BYU's campus and the mountains. I enjoyed learning, visiting old friends and making new friends-it was a great week.

  2. Julie, it was so fun to meet you and discover our fates have been intertwined ever since my brother-in-law showed you around your first area. I think you have a great start on your book and I feel a weird urge to dig my hands into the whole thing and help you make it just the way you want it. So please send more my way when you're ready! And tell Seth hi from Fred. And also tell him that he has to send you to England for research.

  4. It's so great you had such a fun week. It feels like so long ago now that we were students at BYU, suprising since it's really just been four years since we moved here. And hey, maybe by next year's conference you'll already have that book of yours finished!
